Florida – November 2013<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

\"fl13\"Newly retired, we wanted to spend some time in Florida in the winters. \u00a0Since most places don’t rent to people with pets, we decided to try a travel trailer and rent a campsite. \u00a0I remembered that my parents would go to a place on Hutchinson Island called Holiday Out back in the ’70’s. \u00a0So we found Holiday Out online and contacted an owner about renting a lot for November. \u00a0The place had really changed since the 70’s and was no longer a “campground.” \u00a0It had morphed into mobile homes, park models, stucco homes and a few RV’s. \u00a0When we arrived our “landlords,” Sharon & John were in the house next door, and they took us under their wing and showed us around the area. \u00a0They made us feel so welcomed. \u00a0After 3 weeks there, we signed a contract to buy our own lot.<\/p>\n

Holiday Out – Winter 2014<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

After Christmas, we headed back to Holiday out to close on our lot right before New Years. \u00a0Woo hoo! We were now Florida property owners. \u00a0We stayed for about 6 weeks and then headed back to the cold weather.<\/p>\n

Tops Down Tour – 2017<\/span><\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Valerie and I were joined by friends on a convertible tour of western states from South Dakota down to Utah. \u00a0We covered 13 states. \u00a0Our friends rented Mustang convertibles and we took our Infiniti. \u00a0We visited Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park,\u00a0\"\"Rocky Mountain National Park, Zion National Park,\u00a0Bryce Canyon National Park, \u00a0Capital Reef National Park, Arches National Park, Monument Valley,\u00a0and Cedar Breaks National Monument. \u00a0It was a great trip.<\/p>\n

Tops Down Tour – 2019<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

These photos are from our 2019 Tops DownTour where we were\u00a0once again joined\u00a0by 6 friends in rented convertibles for a tour of The Black Hills, Mt. Rushmore, Chief Joseph Highway, Beartooth Pass, Glacier National Park, The Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park.<\/p>\n
